You click on an item , once it is selected it changes into your mouse icon. Then click on the item that you want to drop it on.
Alt , shift etc do not work on this game.
The only key shortcuts are F1-F2-F3-F4 to control the sound and F12 to use the build-in money cheat.
If you are dropping items and nothing happens that means that you most likely skipped a part. Which part EXACTLY are you on the storyline?

Either you have a corrupted version or you overwrote Part 2 files over Part 1 files.
Download the game again , extract it with the newest version of Winrar (yes it matters) on a fresh new folder on your desktop. Run the game at least once as an Administrator
