I cannot move the character with the keyboard, only the camera moves. Also the game freeze and sometimes crash when I change the graphic options.

Hello? That's some good graphics. Specs reveal????
It's just a mix of MSAA 4x (it adds a soft ambient occlusion effect to some edges/corners, dunno if intentional), FSR2, Render Scale 1.0 and some body oil for the models. The lack of AA with the ghost skull mob was quite ugly so I fiddled with the settings until I ended with this combination, there must be better ones but I'm satisfied with the current results.

Since the game uses low frame rate animations for the retro videogame "style" (which bothers me) the performance doesn't matter much but...

Never saw any ambient occlusion effect with MSAA. I bet it is unintentional.
I just settle with FSR2 and 0.5 scale since the game doesn't have that much texel density or world complexity to begin with. Though I have a UHD 240Hz monitor and therefore the game blasts at least 240 FPS which is just overkill for this game. Built in Vsync in 1/2, 1/3 etc would be great to address that...

Just tested and actually it's about MSAA2x disabling the default ambient occlusion instead, since all other options have it on. The dev probably didn't notice when implementing the AA types so indeed it's not intentional.

Does not happen to me on v0.4 EA 2.1 neither Vulkan nor DX12. Weird!

I see you have RX6600, so it might be related to AMD cards. No such behavior on Nvidia RTX 3000 (at least) cards switching between FXAA-MSAA.
